As we know that getAdministrativeResourceResolver()<\/i><\/b> method has been deprecated from ResourceResolverFactory<\/i><\/b> interface in AEM6 and above versions. Then the question is-<\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/span><\/div>\n
Q1). How to get ResourceResolver object in Sling services in AEM6.0 and above versions?<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
If you are working with AEM6 or AEM6.1 then you have two options-<\/span><\/div>\n
If you know the credentials of a User and want that user credential in your service, then go with getResourceResolver() <\/i><\/b>method.<\/span><\/div>\n

Map<String, Object> param = new HashMap<String, Object>();            <\/i><\/span><\/div>\n
param.put(ResourceResolverFactory.USER,”admin”);<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n
param.put(ResourceResolverFactory.PASSWORD,”admin”.toCharArray());<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n

If you don’t have user credentials and want to access ResourceResolver object then you have to use<\/span><\/div>\n
getServiceResourceResolver() method. as shown below –<\/span><\/div>\n

Q2). What configuration I need to do for AEM6.0?<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
For AEM6.0,  configuration steps are-<\/span><\/div>\n
Go to Felix Console configuration tab i.e. http:\/\/localhost:4502\/system\/console\/configMgr<\/a><\/span><\/div>\n
Search for User Mapping as shown in figure-<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n
Click on this service to edit it’s configuration.<\/span><\/div>\n
Here you have to add one entry and the syntax of the entry is-<\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/span><\/div>\n
“Bundle symbolic Name”:”SubServieName”=”User Name”<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/span><\/div>\n
1. Bundle symbolic Name:- <\/b> Here you have to add the bundle symbolic name where you are creating a service.<\/span>
\n
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
2. SubServieNaem:- <\/b>This is the name you provided as a value of  ResourceResolverFactory.SUBSERVICE<\/i><\/b> property i.e. “testService”<\/i><\/b>.<\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/span><\/div>\n
3. User Name:- <\/b>This  is the user name for ex. “admin” <\/b>So in my case this configuration field value becomes “com.blog.blog-bundles:testService=admin” <\/i><\/b><\/span>After adding <\/span>this entry to <\/span>configuration looks like-<\/span><\/div>\n

Now everything is set for AEM6.0.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Q3). Will these configurations work for AEM6.1?<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
No<\/span><\/div>\n

Q4). What configuration, do I need for AEM6.1?<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
If you are working with AEM6.1 that you have to complete all steps explained for AEM6.0. To make these configurations  working for AEM6.1, you have to ensure that the “jcr:PrimaryType”<\/i><\/b> of your user is “rep:SystemUser”<\/i><\/b> i.e if you are trying to use “admin” user. Then it will not work as it’s “jcr:PrimaryType”<\/i><\/b> value is  “rep:User”<\/i><\/b>.<\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/span><\/div>\n
Q5). What do you mean by “jcr:PrimaryType” as “rep:SystemUser”?<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
It means that user is just not a repository user. It must be system user.<\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/span><\/div>\n
Q6). How to create System User in AEM6.0?<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
For creating System Users, follow these steps-<\/span><\/div>\n

  1. Go to CRX Explorer <\/span>http:\/\/localhost:6502\/crx\/explorer\/index.jsp<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Login as Administrator, i.e. <\/span>using<\/span> “admin: admin”<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Click on “User Administration”, you will see a screen just like this-<\/span><\/span> <\/li>\n
  4. Here you will see <\/span>a option of “Create System User”<\/i><\/b>, Click on this button.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Add a value for User Id field for ex. “<\/i><\/b><\/span>testUser“<\/i>. <\/i><\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Click on green button. <\/span>Close the window. <\/span>Go to CRXDE Lite, your <\/span>“<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>testUser<\/b><\/span><\/i>“<\/span><\/i><\/b> will be created under \/home\/system<\/i><\/b> directory. If you are not able to find then search for <\/span>“<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>testUser<\/b><\/span><\/i>“<\/span><\/i><\/b> in home screen. You will get the location.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Q7). How to use this user?<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
    In your “Apache Sling Service User Mapper Service”<\/i><\/b> configuration changes your entry from-<\/span><\/div>\n
    com.blog.blog-bundles:testService=admin to com.blog.blog-bundles:testService=testUser<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n
     <\/span><\/div>\n
    Q8). Should I do this configuration at “Apache Sling Service User Mapper Service” configuration or should I create a “Apache Sling Service User Mapper Service Amendment” service configuration?<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
    You can do it by both ways. But as “Apache Sling Service User Mapper Service”<\/i><\/b> is a service factory in AEM6.1 so as best practices you should create another service configuration by clicking on plus button at the front of “Apache Sling Service User Mapper Service Amendment”<\/i><\/b>.<\/span><\/div>\n
    When you click on “+”<\/i><\/b> button, one new configuration will be created at the end. Click on that  service and do this configuration there. Your code will work in the same manner as working before.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
