During my project work, I got a task where I have to prepopulate a multifield with some predefined values. i.e when a multifield is loaded first time, It should be displayed with some default values. In this post, I will discuss, How I achieve this\u00a0functionality. So\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

For doing this, I am creating a project using\u00a0adobe maven\u00a0archetype<\/b> as I created in my last post. It create a folder structure under app<\/b> directory as shown below –\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/a><\/div>\n
Here I create<\/b> a component<\/b> named as blog<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
This component contains a dialog having a tab with a multifield & one listener (nt:unstructured) node under cq:dialog node.<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
So the final structure looks like –\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

multifield is created with properties\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n

name = .\/names<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
fieldLabel = Names<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

fieldconfig node have properties\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n

Till now what ever we create is simple work which is required to create a simple multifield.\u00a0<\/span>

Key point is –\u00a0<\/b><\/span>
\nNow the original work for starts for prepopulating multifield. As we create on additional node named as listeners under dialog node, jcr:primaryType of this node is nt:unstructured.<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/div>\n
here I define a function named as loadcontent as type string and It’s values is a javascript function that set’s the default value for this multifield. the function value is –<\/span><\/div>\n
