During project Development, I was facing an issue –<\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/span><\/div>\n
“how to select a default value in Selection box (Combobox or Dropdown) or in checkbox group where, option fields are <\/span><\/i><\/b>static or <\/span><\/i><\/b>dynamically <\/span><\/i><\/b>generated<\/span><\/i><\/b>.”<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
Solution<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
For <\/span>Selection Box(dropdown or Combobox) having <\/span>static option values or dynamically generated options values, as I show in my last post<\/a>, declare two properties.<\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
    \n
  1. defaultValue<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n
  2. value<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    Note: <\/span>defaultValue<\/span><\/i> is prerequisite & option selection will take place using value property. <\/span><\/i><\/b><\/div>\n
     <\/span><\/div>\n
    Set these properties as show below –<\/span><\/div>\n
    <\/span><\/a><\/div>\n
    Points to be remember<\/b><\/div>\n
     <\/b><\/div>\n

    1. <\/b>defaultValue<\/b> property could be of type String  or String[]<\/b>. For default value selection <\/i>you have to declare this property. <\/b>It depends on your requirement. ex. <\/i><\/span>String[]<\/i> for checkbox, <\/i><\/span>String <\/i>for combobox.<\/i><\/span>
    \nIf you don’t declare this property and add only value property then option selection doesn’t take place.<\/i>
    \n
    \n<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

    2. <\/b>value<\/b> property could also be <\/i><\/span>type String  or String[]<\/b><\/i>. <\/i><\/span>It’s only requirement is you have declared defaultValue<\/b> property.<\/i>
    \n
    \n<\/i><\/div>\n
    3. <\/b>there is no need to define any value in defaultValue <\/b>property just leave it empty but define<\/b>.<\/i>
    \n
    \n<\/b><\/i><\/div>\n
    4. <\/b>selection of default options will take place on the basis of value<\/b> property.<\/i><\/div>\n

    \n<\/i><\/b><\/span> <\/p>\n
     <\/div>\n

    For a Selection Box (Combobox) <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n


    \n<\/b><\/span>1. <\/b>defaultValue<\/b> should of type String &<\/i><\/i>
    \n2. <\/b>value<\/b> should also be type String as only one value could be selected at one time.<\/i><\/i><\/div>\n

    \n<\/i><\/span>For a CheckBox<\/span><\/span>
    \n<\/i><\/span>
    \n<\/i><\/div>\n
    1. <\/b>defaultValue<\/b> could be of type String or String[]. and it may or may not have values.<\/i>
    \n<\/i><\/span>2. <\/b>value<\/b> Should be of type String[] as you may want to select multiple checkbox at the time of loading.<\/i><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
