SAML<\/strong> (Security Assertion Markup Language) is a key technology through which we can achieve SSO <\/strong>(Single Sign On).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) 6.x, a SAML authentication handler is provided by default.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to configure SAML in AEM?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are some simple steps through which we can configure SAML in AEM
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to the AEM Home <\/strong>\u2192<\/strong> Tools <\/strong>\u2192 <\/strong>Security <\/strong>\u2192<\/strong> click on Trust Store<\/strong>. As shown below \u2013<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    \"\"\/<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
    1. Click on Create TrustStore:- <\/strong>It will ask you for a password, So put a password of your choice.
      <\/strong>Now, Upload your certificate *.cer<\/strong> file here. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Here I have not shown certificate details and alias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Note:<\/strong> Copy the Alias field value it is required in Authentication Handler configuration for \u201cIDP Certificate Alias<\/strong>\u201d property.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Now go to AEM home<\/strong> \u2192<\/strong> Tools <\/strong>\u2192<\/strong> Securities <\/strong>\u2192 <\/strong>Users<\/strong> and search for \u201cauthentication-service<\/strong>\u201d user. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
        \"\"\/<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
        1. Open properties of it. Click on KeyStore Tab. Click on Create KeyStore<\/strong> and provide any password and retype that password. Note down this password, it will be used later.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          1. Go to the \/system\/console\/configMgr<\/strong> and search for<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            \u201cAdobe Granite SAML 2.0 Authentication Handler<\/strong>\u201d Add configuration as shown below-<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Here is the list of properties (For Reference) which needs to be updated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
            Path<\/strong><\/td>\/<\/td><\/tr>
            Service Ranking<\/strong><\/td><It should be much height so that it will have maximum priority for example 5033><\/td><\/tr>
            IDP URL<\/strong><\/td>Client IDP URL <\/td><\/tr>
            IDP Certificate Alias<\/strong><\/td>This is the value you have copied earlier after adding the .cer file.<\/td><\/tr>
            Service Provider Entity ID<\/strong><\/td>Entity Id of your service Provider.<\/td><\/tr>
            Password of Key Store<\/strong><\/td>Add Key store password<\/td><\/tr>
            Default Redirect<\/strong><\/td>What would be the redirect URL once you signed in successfully from your IDP<\/td><\/tr>
            Use Encryption<\/strong><\/td>Uncheck<\/td><\/tr>
            Autocreate CRX Users<\/strong><\/td>Uncheck<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n\n\n\n

            Note:  Please use your environment specific values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            1. In Configuration Console Search for \u201cAuthentication Service<\/strong>\u201d. Add a new configuration as shown below-<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              Note:<\/strong> for -\/home\/users\/U\/U4Q8M9hoohm4Q11CHML entry please check the Anonymous user id. It may be different for different AEM instances.

              1. Give \u201cread<\/strong>\u201d permission to anonymous user for each URL that exists in the \u201cAuthentication Requirements\u201d Field in the \u201cSling Authentication Service<\/strong>\u201d. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                1. In Configuration Console Search for \u201cSling Referrer Filter<\/strong>\u201d. Add required allowed hosts\/ Regexp Host as shown below:<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                  Here is the list of properties which needs to be updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
                  Allow Empty<\/strong><\/td>Uncheck<\/td><\/tr>
                  Allow Hosts<\/strong><\/td>
                  Add all the host entries which are used for SAML authentication.<\/td><\/tr>
                  Allow Regexp Host<\/strong>
                  <\/td>                  		Allow all all the Hosts here<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n\n\n\n
                  1. Please add the filter in the dispatcher filter. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
