In our case we do not want to author container component so we are not adding <strong>cq:dialog<\/strong> node as shown below:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/r7nUu4a38M9UguqRY92Enap3K0kuoQpDc1Vwh5ViDYgOIL5I4P9ZC46pQbAi1SNa7A0oZ4V1i34mWVnQCzJNBAoph52qXvt9wuX0yVtplqxRXTv7l2QZTz8SYaaHckPLzO15Mq4w\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If dialog or design dialog is not there then we have to make a <strong>cq:editConfig<\/strong> node as shown above.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now add the <strong>cq:template<\/strong> node of type <strong>nt:unstructured <\/strong>and under cq:template node make a <strong>container <\/strong>node of type <strong>nt:unstructured<\/strong> with sling:resourceType as <strong>wcm\/foundation\/components\/responsivegrid<\/strong> as shown below:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh4.googleusercontent.com\/9yFeedVlZkZ998ar5zvZsFQXK5SgGtwa9z15wO_9zFQkwpYmefiTiL6Z9OK3tgZaEWxTwaNccE-bfSbCkuwAFnf77W9JayOeHySIuy2sgpjY6F2rIeP9YTtzMt09cm-aInjVoGsP\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the <strong>container <\/strong>node, we can add the component as we want and they will be shown by default when the composite component is dropped on the page.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/FYXzsusW0NJs30P5QDFAx1GUxEf3PJdWz1Ibu8UKK7GJXG6l-ZA8tyt230P5rDQsdX3yeZ8hpYb3DxaA0qD_wuG_5hONiBaBc8bxRG43RcS2x2Fuaf8HBYJ-o28TwvBt4G1EOzpp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And finally, here is what goes into the HTML of the component.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&lt;div data-sly-resource=&#8221;${&#8216;container&#8217; @ resourceType=&#8217;wcm\/foundation\/components\/responsivegrid&#8217;}&#8221; data-sly-unwrap&gt;<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In this case I have used data-sly-unwrap as we do not want to author the parent component.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How will the composite component be displayed on the page?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/bZc70T_bQ9q3BBdwTcal7te-l15e4D2VMxS42OFsdHTfPBIVkrD1amVat7aUVlSRLtuBgaBM0jPTeLBp5no4L5skdAuPR-hZdF_3-XMWvwIrwOnyrEq6ybwg9RsB4yIpV1atMnfl\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By Avni Rajput<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is a Composite Component?
